1st time there and I liked how the employees were knowledgeable, helpful, kind. The store has a variety of brands to choose from
BJ's Health Food always puts me in a good mood. From my days a vegetarian to my journey to full on plant-based vegan BJ's had/has it all - perfect produce, vitamins, supplements, frozen and refrigerated goods, a great layout and that superfood service. Love the non-dairy section here, it's massive nowadays - from Follow Your Heart block to present day Violife and Mikoyo's (if you know you know). Being the top health food store in the HD (High Desert) they are definitely are the first choice for all and any seeking out some beneficial day to day needs. The parking lot is easy (their own), quite spacious for getting in and out, but small overall - though you can access it from either Bear Valley Rd via O'Reilly's or the Chevron on the corner as well as Balsam Rd (main entrance/exit). They have deals and ads/flyers throughout the year, typically some great ones around the holidays. Hand baskets and small push carts available when you walk in to the left. Super kind and friendly staff on the floor and at checkout. Open all week Sunday through Saturday until 6pm. As early as 9am (10am on Sundays).
A huge thanks to the super helpful staff person who got me set up with everything I need to deal with a sinus infection...just before a long planned road trip to see family! She greeted me at the door, then patiently helped me pick out the items that would help move this illness along. I thought this would be a pricey trip to the store...and it was NOT! They have an outstanding variety of options across brands and prices but all high quality products. You don't find this kind of competency and personalized service in the newly arrived chain health markets. BJ's has earned its spot as my health needs go-to spot. Thanks to the lovely woman who helped me out last week. We're in the middle of nowhere right now so if I didn't have this treatment set up from BJ's there'd be no holistic places to go.

On a recent trip to this area I found this gem when I couldn't find any other health food store within a 20/30 minute drive. I was quickly able to find what I needed and I had great service. The ambiance was chill (duh SoCal) and the selection was great for being a smaller store (as in not a Whole Foods or Sprouts). Would not hesitate to come back when I'm in the area again. Prices were really good also.
So over priced, yet, the choices are on the hand picked healthier side of choices instead of going to Wholefoods in Rancho or if there was one up here. The alternative is shopping online in advance, shopping around at near by grocery stores and they don't still have what you are looking for. However, very clean, knowledgeable and extremely helpful staff. Unfortunately, financially I hope they don't sell if they bring Wholefoods, Trader Joe's or Clark's Nutrition up here. I love the small mom and pop stores.
Expensive but has hard to find stuff. All the supplements you could need. Fresh coconuts, they even opened for me! For such a small store they really have everything you would need! Let's stop company's from being able to poison us. Other grocers only sell to the highest bidder for shelf space, and put garbage in their products to have a longer shelf life.
It is rather expensive, but I know the benefits overweights the expense on my health especially when it comes to vegetables and fruits
